Position Overview:
Adendorff Machinery Mart is looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join their Durban Umbilo branch as a Retail Shop Assistant. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates who have an interest in tools, machinery, and retail sales.
📍 Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
📝 Job Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Assist customers with sales and product inquiries
🔹 Maintain stock control, stock taking, and merchandising
🔹 Provide excellent customer service
🔹 Follow retail branch procedures
🔹 Support day-to-day store operations
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric / Senior Certificate (minimum requirement)
- Interest in tools, machinery, and the retail industry
- Experience in merchandising, stock control, and retail branch procedures (advantageous)
- Background in automotive, engineering, or hardware retail (added benefit)
- Strong customer service and sales skills
- Reliable, honest, and able to work well in a team environment
Salary & Benefits:
💰 Salary: Negotiable with benefits
⏰ Working Hours:

Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00

Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
