Massmart is determined to build talent pipelines for its Stores and therefore invites all suitably qualified and unemployed South Africans to apply for the 2025 Learnership Opportunity.
Massmart offers a 12-month programme that provides work experience in specific areas with critical skills within the organisation. You will gain valuable work experience, explore career paths, and be able to network with professionals in your field of study. During this time, you will be based in one of Massmart’s Retail Stores (Gauteng, North West, Eastern Cape, Free State, KwaZulu-Natal) and be exposed to the world of retail.
In addition to receiving a National Certificate in Wholesale and Retail Operations and relevant work experience, you’ll also gain business, personal, and technical retail skills you can use across the business and throughout your career journey.
Minimum requirements:
- South African Citizen
- Completed Matric / Grade 12
- Should not have been employed permanently with a single employer continuously for more than 1 year
- Should not be studying full-time in the year of employment (August ‘25 – July 26)
- Should not currently be on or registered on a SETA-funded Program
- Available and willing to work retail hours and on a fixed-term 12-month learnership contract
