ITB is a flexible plastic packaging manufacturer and part of the Novus Holdings Group. ITB produces an array packaging for the FMCG and food markets. Its products include retail bags, security bags, FFS food packaging, heavy duty sacks and carrier bags which are distributed across South Africa and abroad.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To undertake a range of tasks suited to the current level of training and development.
  • To attend Trainings and complete course work on time and to a high standard
  • To produce, maintain and be responsible for content, accuracy and sign off portfolio of evidence.
  • Ability to work independently and conscientiously.
  • To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
  • To comply with all ITB Health & Safety, ITB Basic condition of employment, ITB Quality policies and procedures
  • To attend and participate fully in all regular training and development reviews with line management, mentor, HR representatives and service provider’s nominated representatives.
  • To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be between the ages of 18-30.
  • Must be unemployed.
  • Not studying at any other institution.
  • Not registered on any other Learnerships.
  • Be willing to undertake training, assignments, and workplace assessments over one year

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be willing and have ability to learn and grasp concepts.
  • Be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.
  • Be able to read speak and write English.
  • Willingness and ability to work shifts and weekend overtime where required.
  • Ability to make own decisions in line with the company and learnerships program requirements.
  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to study at an NQFL2.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • This programme is only for unemployed candidates
  • Successful candidates will be employed on a fixed term basis (12 months)
  • They will be required to sign a Service Contract and a Learnership contract.
  • Upon successful completion candidates will obtain a recognized National Certificate in Plastics Manufacturing.
  • Permanent employment is not guaranteed upon completion of the learnership programme.
  • Candidates will undergo assessment as part of the selection process.
