Solareff is offering a 12-month fixed-term position in various departments as part of the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative, a Presidency-led program designed to combat youth unemployment and support BBBEE transformation goals. This role offers young South Africans, aged between 18-34, a chance to gain valuable work experience. This is not an internship program, apprenticeship or training whereby participants will obtain any form of qualification or certification. Eligible candidates will gain hands-on experience in administration, warehousing and technical knowledge within our dynamic Company.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent; a post-matric certificate/ program is advantageous
  • South African citizen, aged 18-34.
  • Strong mathematical proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams).
  • Must not have been permanently employed by a single employer for more than 1 year.
  • Must not be studying full-time during the employment year.
  • Must not have previously participated in or registered for the YES initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing administrative and operational support to the assigned department.
  • Assisting with data capturing, record keeping, and document management.
  • Maintaining accurate filing systems and ensuring information is updated.
  • Supporting team members with daily tasks and departmental projects.
  • Assisting with customer, supplier, and internal stakeholder queries.
  • Participating in meetings, training sessions, and workplace development activities.
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Supporting the preparation of reports, schedules, and departmental documentation.
  • Assisting with inventory, asset, stock, or resource management activities where applicable.
  • Performing general office, operational, and coordination duties as required.
  • Building professional skills through on-the-job learning and mentorship.
