Pick n Pay Shelfpackers
As a Shelfpacker, your role will be to efficiently manage resources to maximize turnover and minimize stock shortages. You will be responsible for ensuring that all store standards, policies, and processes are followed while maintaining a clean and well-organized store.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock management: Safely stack and store products according to store standards.
- Merchandising: Ensure products are arranged in a visually appealing and organized manner.
- Stock rotation: Regularly check stock quality, rotate items, and remove expired stock.
- Minimize wastage: Prevent shrinkage, damage, and product wastage.
- Cold chain management: Maintain temperatures and ensure proper handling of cold items (if applicable).
- Hygiene and safety: Keep all areas clean and adhere to safety protocols.
- Pricing checks: Ensure products are correctly labeled with accurate pricing.
- Security adherence: Follow store security guidelines and procedures.
- Equipment cleaning: Operate and clean store equipment as per standards.
- Customer service: Assist customers with queries and promote products in a friendly and professional manner.

Physically demanding
Ensure that hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards are maintained (Floor and back-up)
Ensure that security procedures are adhered to.
Ensure that merchandise/display standards are adhered to.
Conduct regular quality checks, ensure that stock is rotated. Damaged/expired stock is removed.
Prevent wastage/shrinkage/damages
Check correct pricing e.g. labels
Approach and advise customers on the product, listen to customers’ requests, provide the required product or services and handle customers in a courteous and business-like manner.
