The purpose of this position is to:
- Capture and manage healthcare data accurately
- Support the Health Information Management system
- Ensure timely and quality reporting of health data
- Assist in monitoring healthcare service performance

This role is essential in supporting decision-making and ensuring accurate reporting in healthcare services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Knowledge of data capturing and reporting processes
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of Batho Pele Principles
The following will be beneficial:
- Certificate in Web-DHIS
- Experience in Health Information Management
- Knowledge of healthcare information systems

Responsibilities:
Data Capturing and Management
- Capture healthcare data into systems such as Web-DHIS and Excel
- Maintain electronic databases accurately
- Ensure data is recorded correctly and consistently
- Manage patient and service-related records
Reporting and Analysis
- Generate monthly and quarterly reports
- Compile summaries of health data
- Analyse trends and performance indicators
- Prepare presentations based on data
Data Quality Assurance
- Validate data by comparing different sources
- Perform data reconciliation regularly
- Identify errors and inconsistencies
- Improve overall data quality
Training and Support
- Train staff on data collection processes
- Provide feedback to healthcare workers
- Support ward clerks with compliance requirements
- Promote adherence to health information standards
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Monitor data submission from reporting units
- Ensure accuracy of submitted data
- Track data usage and system performance
- Evaluate effectiveness of information systems
Administrative Duties
- Maintain documentation and records
