About the Service Teams:
The Discovery Health Service Teams are dynamic divisions that handle client servicing, claims, new business, and administration across different regions:
- Eastern Cape Service Team (ECPST) – One of the fastest-growing teams, expanding from under 60 people to over 1100 in just a few years.
- Western Cape Service Team (WCPST) – A high-energy team dedicated to providing world-class service in the health operations space.
- Gauteng Service Team (GAU) – A vibrant hub of professionals focused on servicing medical aid clients and handling health benefits.
- KwaZulu-Natal Service Team (KZN) – A growing team offering excellent career-building opportunities in the health insurance sector.
Key Purpose of the Learnership:
The programme provides a blend of structured learning and workplace experience in Discovery Health’s call centres. Learners will gain hands-on exposure in:
- Medical Aid client servicing
- Claims processing
- New business and policy administration
- Health benefits administration
Upon completion, learners will receive the FETC: Long Term Insurance (NQF Level 4) qualification.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) is essential

Maths: Minimum Level 4 (50%)

An incomplete tertiary qualification is an advantage
Additional Requirements:
- Must not be engaged in post-Matric studies or formal employment
- Must not have completed any previous learnership
- Age between 18 – 25 years
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal English)
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel & MS Outlook)
