  • The Maslow Hotel Sandton is committed to skills development by providing unemployed youth who have completed Grade 12 with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience and a qualification. The learnership will accommodate 10x learners for the skills development, and candidates living with disability are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements:

  • SA citizen ID
  • Matric Certificates or equivalent NQF Level
  • Curriculum vitae and motivational letter
  • A culinary or hospitality certificate will be advantageous

 

Competencies:

  • Having strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be passionate about cooking
  • Be proactive and display problem-solving skills
  • Be able to communicate in written & spoken English
  • Must be willing and able to work shifts when required

The Learnership is outcome-based and is intended to contribute towards addressing the skills gap.  The programme will run for a period of twelve (12) months and requires committed individuals who will need to complete both theoretical and workplace practical learning components before they can be awarded their formal qualification

Furthermore, the Learnership is based on a legally binding agreement between the Employer, Employee and Service Provider. The successful employees will sign a learnership agreement for the duration of the Learnership. 

Learnership Facilitation

This qualification is a workplace learning phase that will be facilitated at the Maslow Hotel.
